Julie Schubert, DVM
Veterinarian
I never considered another career besides Veterinary medicine. I chose to work in a mixed practice for 20 years because I loved the variety of skills needed to deal with both large and small animals. It was certainly a James Herriot type of life. Many great stories and fine people. I narrowed my focus to small animal practice in order to spend more time with patients and clients. I like to delve deeper into their medical problems and focus on the human-animal bond that is so important in veterinary medicine.
My family and I moved to Bethel in 2003 after enjoying 20 years of mixed practice in Lisbon and Colebrook, NH.
Our daughter, son, and two border collies join my husband and me in hiking, nordic skiing, running, and other outdoor activities.
A passion for playing the trumpet has led to performances with orchestras, community bands and many other musical groups.
